Once a client/approved affiliate has registered and filled out all of the proper information, their file is sent to REFAP for Processing. This information is necessary for REFAP in order for us to provide services.
REFAP's Methodology Consists of TWO PHASES:
PHASE-I CONSULTATION: This is when REFAP is introduced to the borrower/client and anyone involved in the transaction who may wish to know more about the program and how it is we do what we do. PHASE-I CONSULTATION is informative, everyone is given a consultation on REFAP and how it will help them with their transaction. All questions and answers are addressed at this time. Here any banking information and documentation necessary are signed for Record Keeping Purposes for REFAP. Your specific method of providing the financial assistance needed to complete your real estate transaction is determined. Clients and P:HH Hopefuls need to bring at the initial consultation the following:
  • Copy of the Client's Driver's License
  • Loan Approval
  • A copy of the Appraisal
  • Borrowers receiving gifts are required to take the 8 hour Home Buyer Education Course administered by Project: Hope For Housing. This class is the same as any buyer wishing to receive funds for down payment and closing costs from H2H, Bond, Ship and other various programs.
REFAP clients can gather all of the information mentioned before and fill out information online and register, this will help expedite your consultation paperwork.
PHASE-II CONSULTATION: Once Phase One has been completed. REFAP will continue to work with the Client's Lending Institution to insure that the documentation provided is within lender guidelines and is exactly what they are requiring to close your loan. This is when we implement the plan formulated during the initial consultation.
RECONCILIATION: REFAP receives funding form Sponsors, Private investors and various entities like Project: Hope For Housing. Without their support and the donations of various entites that see the benefit of these programs, we would not be able to continue our goal of assisting people with their dreams of homeownership!
